It is 3 weeks, 2 days, and a matter of hours until Demo Day! Or if you look at in another way, we still have 27% of the programme remaining.
Phase of the Programme
Looking to week 9, teams will be focused on becoming investment ready, as well as pitch development and traction.
Visitors to the Lab
We welcomed Dave Moskovitz back to town and he spoke to: “What you’ll need to do to convince me to invest in your startup.” A vital time for these teams to check they are on the right path. Dave also spent a solid amount of time with each team, many of whom are already surprising him with their progress.
Alice Canton is an actor, a director and a improvisor having worked previously for the Court Theatre and currently at The Basement in Auckland. Alice had each team pitch to her and provided insightful feedback on presentation style, presence, and the tricks of the trade.
Business Growth Agenda: Innovation Launch
Ministers Steven Joyce and Amy Adams were in Christchurch this week to launch the refreshed Business Growth Agenda Innovation Chapter. Three of our Lightning Lab teams showcased their companies: Bamtino, MTech Games and PocketPhysio.
