Publons has announced that it is joining with the world’s leading data-driven research solutions provider, Clarivate Analytics. The acquisition brings together the world’s preeminent citation database and the world’s largest researcher-facing peer-review data.
Publons came through Creative HQ’s first Lightning Lab in 2013. After the 12-week accelerator experience, they successfully closed seed investment on Demo Day and have gone through multiple funding rounds in the following years. Andrew Preston, CEO of Publons says of the acquisition “it is clear to us that the scale, reach, and ambition of Clarivate Analytics, combined with our researcher-facing platform and focus on peer review will allow us to provide novel solutions to the problems in research”.
