After setting up her first company in 1988 Annette Presley has developed a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.
In 1992 from rather modest beginnings she founded Call Australia which grew to a turnover of $100 million and employed over 200 staff. With a desire to get back to New Zealand , Call Australia was sold and Annette became the co-founder of i4FREE which developed into Slingshot in 2001. Slingshot is now the third largest ISP in New Zealand of which she is immensely proud.
Annette was voted Business Woman of the Year in 2006 by Metro Magazine readers and one of the 50 most trusted people in New Zealand by the NZ Listeners poll.She has featured in the NBR Rich List of 2007 and has appeared on television for Dragon’s Den and Shock Treatment.
Annette co-founded Callplus, which is made up of CallPlus Business, Slingshot, Orcon, Flip and 2talk. The company grew to become New Zealand’s third-largest telco and broadband provider and sold to an Australian business M2 in 2015.
