Wellington has the right balance between size and intimacy, with all the trappings of being a big city with a strong sense of community. It is impossible to walk in the CBD and not run into people you know. Doing business in Wellington is easy. It is also a relatively cheap place to relocate to and live in as a start up.

There is a well connected, experienced and successful group of active investors based here who are passionate about supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem. We also have a growing pool of technical and business talent – which startups need to be ultimately successful. The Summer of Tech programme which helps connect quality students with businesses was started and is headquartered in Wellington.

Wellington is also home to a thriving film industry which continues to attract industry heavyweights to relocate here, constantly bringing in fresh people and ideas from around the world.
